Tie Breakers

The top 2 teams from each pool will advance to the playoffs.  In the event of tie where there is no clear team in first and/or second place in the pool, the head to head record of the teams tied will determine who gets the position for that pool.  If more than two teams are tied, and head to head records amongst the teams cannot break the tie, the team with the highest points from the shoot out will receive the position in the playoffs.

The shoot out will take place after each teams first draw on Friday.  Every team will complete a shoot out.  After your game, each player will take one rock to the opposite end and shoot one rock each towards the glass.  Sweeping is allowed.  Each rock should be removed after the sore has been recorded.  The shoot out will be scored as follows:

Piece of 12 foot -1 point            Full 12 foot - 2 points

Piece of 8 foot - 3 points            Full 8 foot -4 points

Piece of 4 foot -5 points            Full 4 foot - 6 points

Piece of button -7 points            Cover the pin - 8 points

Your opposition for the just completed game will be verifying your shoot out score and if there are any disputes please ask the club representative for assistance.  Your shoot out score should be reported on the form available and given to the official in charge of the draw upon completion.
